So, I find my first ever gold ring, clean it up, tell all my friends, slip it on my pinky, fits nice. Feeling proud. So somehow I get roped into helping spread gravel in the driveway........yup you guessed it, it’s gone, must of fallen off somewhere in the driveway? I searched all over, nothin! No idea where it went. Idiot!

Just more evidence for what I've been saying all along. These things we find? They do *NOT* want to be found! Better hold onto them with BOTH hands! :tongue3:

Good Find! :icon_thumright:
Hey, no problems, just ask your MD buddies to help you find it - its on your property, right?
Then it can be returned to the (new) owner, and with good documentation, you (could) get a
Honorable Mention...! :laughing7:

To quote a great, great bus-driver of long ago:

"It came easy and it went just as fast!"

Call Ring Finders....seriously!

Someone in your area could come out to help. Yeah, you tip the fella 50 bucks but look at it this way. I would pay a good, experienced, successful detectorist 100 bucks to take me out and teach me for a couple hours.

Full Disclosure: I am a member of Ring Finders. Though, I've not been called out since signing on.

You will find it right where you started to become fatigued and decided to take a breather. It will be right at your feet. Your heart rate was up drawing blood to your lungs and major muscles. When you relaxed your hands your fingers vessels constricted allowing it to slip off un-noticed.

On a side note... I was gold dredging and found a nice rose quarts and gold specimen. It was shallow water hunting and I put it in the top pocket of the flannel shirt I was wearing never to be seen again. I did this with a quarter ounce of nuggets in a vial once also... Its not a big deal more will follow.

If you were wearing gloves to do the work, check inside of them. Sleep on it and get out and detect the work area v e r y s l o w l y. It will show up again. Dont give up. You earned it, now get it back! (Free fatherly advice offered by Sub :laughing7:)

***RING Update*** First, let me thank all of you for your good advice and knowledge an support on lost items. I went over an over the driveway an 10 feet on either side with my whites. I think I dug up every piece of junk this old ranch lost over the past 100 years. As I walked towards the barn, I plunged my hands in my vest (the one I WAS wearing) an discovered a small hole in the inside corner. The light bulb went off! I stuck my finger through the hole and followed the seam all the way around almost to the other side and bam! Like a small child playing hide and seek, we were united again! Yes it’s been put away, in a safe place. Thank you all again.

Omg! I thought I was the only one that had hungry holes in my pockets. LOL! So glad you found it, again!
