First E V E R Morgan Dollar and "V" SUPER WEEKEND!
We left our house here in Kentucky Wednesday for a Thanksgiving weekend with loved ones in other states, I decided to take along my Tesoro and for good luck I left the Lesche at home and took the new digger that Mighty AP sent me from Idaho. It MUST be a lucky digger, because I found my VERY FIRST Morgan Dollar and "V" Nickel with it! If you read this.....thanks again AP!
Soon as my Thanksgiving meal setteled, I started out at an old homesite that belonged to my wife's father, his father built the cabin around the turn of the century.
Here's a few pics of our trip....hope you like them!
Finally made it.......it felt good to breath fresh air again!
Here's the old cabin built around the turn of the century, hand sawed logs. This is where I found the Morgan.
I found the "V" about three feet out from the stone chimney.
My First Morgan! A little worn and stratched, but still, it's a first for me!
Here's a shot of how I first saw it down in the hole, initially, I thought it was the bottom of a soda can!
Here's the "V" - It's seen better days of course, but another FIRST!
Entering NC to visit wifes children
Here's my little nephew and our fur-person "Precious"
One more, here's wifey and my little nephew...and of course our dog .
THE MORGAN!
Hope you guys like the pics and thanks AP for the lucky digger...that Copenhagen spit must've done the trick!
