Our family has owned a large farm for about 200 years and many things have washed up over the years. I decided to buy a machine and after playing around with it I hit a field. I know it's not close to great things I see here but I'm trying

Welcome to TNet!

You got good stuff... harmonica reeds, oil lamp part, arrowhead, pipe stems, bullet... You are all over it.

Where in SC are you located?

Good luck and keep after it.

Welcome to TNet, DirtySCGirl. Looks like you are doing OK!

Thanks Tuberale. My grandfather had coffee cans full of those bullets and gave them to some guy about 15-20 years ago according to my dad. We have a creek on our land and my dad said most came from there.

Are the harmonica reeds the long metal things? We live about 20 minutes south of Columbia if you know where that is.

Well family stories say soldiers from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars camped around here. But then again Everyone's relative was a General and all property holds looted gold Ha Ha I believe things when I can actually prove them.

Very nice collection of relics, congratulations! :occasion14:

Well, you are trying....

Just kidding, welcome to Tnet.

When you say 'washed up', do you mean on the coast?

Nice stuff

Def some older relics there. Go slow dig every signal until you get familiar with the machine. I'm sure there are some old coins out there

Good Luck

Jer

Lots of history in your area. I found my only two pieces of Spanish silver along the Kings hwy there.

No when it rains hard they are on surface of fields especially after plowing..Not much rain here lately though.

OK, makes sense, I find plenty of Roman Coins (eyes only) on the surface of ploughed land.

Welcome to Tnet. Great finds. I like to have a place like that to hunt around hear It is real hard to get permission in my area. Why I do'not know.
