Nice haul. Congrats on the rings.

Gotta love that gold,I like the ray-bans too.HH

Great finds. Like the rings. Will you try to return the class ring?

Nice close up of your finds, any particular tips you can give? Is it the camera or do you use special photo technique?

Nice finds!! You might want to check out that piece of watch band in the junk tub.
It looks alot like a piece of a Rolex watch band, which would possibly make it 18K gold!

No I will not try to return the ring. The last time when I return the class ring I didn't receive even "Thank you",and pay money for the delivery. So that's it.
I am done with "Good deeds".
I use Olympus Stylus 1030SW set to close up super macro mode.
The pictures are very good when the light is perfect.

I really like the gold and diamond one! The class ring looks heavy too!

I know what you mean about returning class rings, it takes allot of effort to do so and when they do not even appreciate it you feel like why bother? Most people also don't realize how much work goes into recovering gold, it doesn't just jump out of the ground. I tried to return a 1972 class ring, finally got a number for the woman and didn't even get a phone call back. I called her three times. Also they can buy insurance on the rings for like $50.00, so if you lose it you can get it replaced. I think if the person is acting weird they probably already got a replacement ring, and feel guilty about taking it. I think it would be good to ask them directly, " Did you get a replacement ring through insurance?"

When you get a person who is truly appreciative it makes the effort worth it. I know I would appreciate getting mine back, but that's just me.

Good luck on more gold!

Can't say I blame you on keeping the ring. I have had similiar experiences with retruning last 2 rings and not even a 'Thank You'.

Thanks for the info on the camera.
