Find of the year !!

I can’t believe what I found today .... item very high on my bucket list . I called out of work I just needed a day off I wasn’t planning on hunting especially since the tide was extra high but I decided I would take the boat down the river just to get out. It’s crazy cause several things happened that if they hadn’t I probably don’t find this ... calling out of work , tide being high , and maybe what made me pay really close attention to the dark muck under the water is a water moccasin dropped out of a tree about 2 min before and I was in sandals so I was really going slow trying to find it and spotted this ...

At this point I’m saying “holy smoke” !! That’s a banner stone !! And than I’m praying please be intact please be!

I couldn’t believe it ... the first Bannerstone iv ever found that’s intact and I couldn’t be happier if I don’t find anything else this year I’ll be happy

Really not sure of the material it’s made from I have never seen that type of stone before around here I found another large hammer looking stone rite next to the banner that is same material the last group pic has a few points I found as well .... a great day with unexpected artifact that I’ll never forget finding

Thanks again everybody that voted it’s cool to see NA artifacts make it up there .... i can’t wait to get back out there and look for more ... not sure I will ever top this but better believe I’m gonna be out there trying ! I hope everybody has a great spring full of good finds

Awesome find for sure friend !! Great that you were able to capture an insitu photo, to help remind you of that feeling for years and decades to come. I love the material, and would also call it diorite or porphyry. I wouldn't doubt that you will come up with something you like even more in the future. Your putting in the time, finding good sites, working them hard, and have a good eye for what is what. All the ingredients needed to find what is available to be found. Keep it up, and tear it up !

Trust me rock I’m not that guy that has all the luck which is why I was so surprised to find this .... I’m the guy that pays the last payment on his truck loan and the next day a person runs a stop sign and totals my truck ... true story unfortunately but that’s how my Luck usually goes
