Your actions are certainly admirable. I hope it is a story told often by the ring owner and rubs off on a generation or more.

I salute you!

great find and story ;D and congrats on making the banner ;)

I was praying I could find it because I wanted to pass the ring on to my son when he gets married, then their children pass it on and so on and so forth. And I hope one day I tell him what happened and he can pass the story on one day too! This is a ring with alot of history! (With quite a story added to it now!!!!!)

Lost in the water for 3+ weeks!!!

Great job all around!!! WTG!!!!!!!! ;D

High Five!
Excellent Texas representation..
Good for you both....

Keep safe...

Congratulations of the Great find. Now you belong to the Good Guys Ring Returner Club. This is a special club and only a few get in. Some guys would rather just throw the ring into a junk box or shoe box or worse yet sell it. What a great feeling it is to return a Ring. Sometimes you don't get but a little thank you or nothing at all, but it's the ones that really break down and cry that pulls on your heart strings.

Again, Congrats.

Congratulations on finding the ring. About 18 years ago I looked for a ring a young lady had lost when her friends grabbed and tossed her out of a canoe on a local river. The ring had 3 diamonds, one was her grandmothers wedding diamond the 2ND was her mom's wedding diamond and the 3 was her diamond and the ring was 14kt gold. If memory servers me correctly they were all half carats each. Well I spent 12 hrs on that riverbank and in the river looking for that ring and I found another plain gold wedding band and about 3 lbs of pop tops. I was using a Fisher aquanaut detector. I found the ring and her mother drove down from Kansas City 160 miles north where they lived to pick up the ring and gave me a reward as I had to drive 40 miles to search and I was given a small writeup in a Fisher ad for the find.
