That penny appears to have a terrible disfiguration! :P

Peaches?? Did you do the "the ugliest penny ever found" dance?? :-* :-*

Glad you're sticking with it. It won't be long and you'll be diggin' those CallyFornia nuggets and gold pieces. 8)

Knucklehead :D You haven't seen the last of this machine....After 20 time's saying bad word's to it you'll still take it out to play ;) Sweet find...Congrat's and HH!!

I say keep the penny too! even if it does have warts! ;) So glad you are getting the hang of the machine and I am sure you will keep doing better and better with it. Soon you will wonder what you ever did without it! :D Grats and keep hunting!!

FelinePeachy ...

Stick with it , take no prisioners, show no mercy, dig everything !!!

Glad you and the MXT have reached an understanding ;)
Only I must ask is your MXT male or female ?

I believe male..let it lay around on the sofa and watch TV a few hours a day and hang around with the DFX and XLT pals drinking beers and it'll be happier !! ;D

I look forward to GREAT FelinePeachy finds !!!

Lincoln looks like he has Chicken Pox ;D

Nice find! The oldest coin I have found is a War Nickel.

feline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
peachy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great finds and weird yet cool pennie!
was one of those a big nail? :P

Sweet coin....you should try having this cleaned right and you can turn this ugly duckling into a swan...this coin has great detail...if you can get the dirt and encrustments off without destroying the surface you can get a nice looking $25 Lincoln!

Read up on the cleaning forum before you do anything!
I'd try using a very low voltage electrolysis method. Don't rush it, take your time.

Just so you know

the 1914S one cent is a key date. you most likely will not find another one so before you clean the coin be sure to practice with one that is worthless.

Your 1914S is in excellent condition except for the corrosion.

Looks like you live in gold country. Try the MXT in gold only mode and see what you find along the creek banks (or in the banks if you can get a way with it) that feed the lakes in the area..

I used to live in Arizona and would use my MXT to locate nuggets and entwined gold in the Prescott national forest area... had a permit to do so. That area was/is a big gold producing area.

Thanks for sharing your finds with us

Maybe you could glue that cent to the detector so it knows what to look for in the future?

Peachy, all kidding aside. Nice 1914S its a coin most of us wish we could find! You and that MXT are coming along just fine, a little more time and you'll wonder how you ever did without it. Glad to hear your hanging in there with us. Happy Hnting
