I found the ring on an early Nash County homesite. Any ideas on the 04 on inside if that's what it shows?

The inscription inside of the ring is a quarter dollar. It's a coin ring. It's made out of a coin. I found one that says half dollar inside. Yours looks like it also says liberty on the top inside.

Thank you very much for your reply.I had no idea what kind of ring it was.I found it at on a place that was my great grandfather's homesite which has long been torn down.It gives a little more meaning to it now.Thanks again
