Hi gang,

Jeff and I hit the old house in Yellow Springs and after we turned our M6 gain way up we started getting hits. These silver coins are ALL firsts for me and four wheats. I usually only find one wheat per 6 months.

Today I found:
2- Standing Liberty Quarters 1926, 1929
1-Barber dime, 1903
1- Merc dime from Friday (shown here) 1917
2- neat car medallions
4 Wheat pennys one a 1909

This is the best day for me every in coins. I never thought I would find anything like this. I finally feel like a treasure hunter WOOHOOO!!

JEff found
1- 1903 Indian Head cent
1-1862 British Penny (in OHIO? Woooh)

the not sure coin you should put in olive oil to clean... awesome hunt.. hope my luck picks up soon... also is there a vbd at the bottom of the back side or a S mint mark on the 1909 penny?

Sweet silver!!I have found around 140 silver coins the last year and a half but no SLQ.I have found that Ford 30th anniversary token and so has my hunting partner Ricardo_NY.WTG and don't having an old house to search just the best thing!

OMG BIG TIME CONGRATS SKD.. that would of made my year.. you so deserved all this..and what beauties too...

I love the Ford token, the Hubby has a 33 Ford pick up! Why do you think the 1903 dime has the holes in the neck, neat. Great job get back at that site!

Two SLQ's in one hunt? Look at all that treasure!!!!!!

Oh, I'd be remiss if I didn't say "Hi sweetie" to that gorgeous Merc!

That was a good hunt..poor little Merc sure like it went through a lot of hands...The SLQ's look pretty good..in fact, all silver is good.

n0ice!

What you have there is an 1891 "V" nickel... only found 5 of them in all my years of detecting... and only 3 SLQs...

Nice finds!! I recently found my first V-nickel, too. Keep it up!

WOW! What a great day for your first silver! Still hoping for my first Barber and SLQ!! Oldest silver I had found up until last week was a 1917 Merc (about the same condition of yours). Then, I hit an 1882 Morgan Dollar! Still on cloud nine over that one..........I'd go back to that spot many more times---especially after a long soaking rain (seems to amplify the signals). GREAT JOB!!!

Really great finds there. I have never found a standing liberty quarter - they are beautiful coins.
