Field Finds Last Weekend

This is my first post on this site. Ive been detecting for about ten years, and found out about this site from a fellow detecting buddy. Anyway here are my finds from the weekend. I think I found a meteor, is there any value to these? See Picture.

Hello everyone,
Just an update on the possible meteorite. I sent it to the Smithsonian about a year ago, and it came back as being slag. Probably an old blacksmith shop or industrial by product. Anyway just wanted to update everyone. When I found it with my XLT the VDI was 70-71 and reflected a dime.

Gosh dang it! Shucks! Still cool to find, I also have a jar full of unidentified molten metal. Keep up the good work!
