Fence post find

A local farmer as been busy digging fence post holes. I spent a while searching the spoil heaps around these. A faint signal produced this tiny hammered silver coin. It's a hammered silver farthing of Edward 1, 1272-1307 AD. I took the photo on the tip of my little finger, to show the smallness of the coin.

Went to Scotland once when I was a kid..... Loved the history (: Those of us in America can only dream of finding something that "old". Great find!!
