Favorite songs I was raised on

Excellent, SD! You are right, they did nail that remake! Both took me back.

Bill from Lachine played a song that I had forgotten. A good one. One of my favorites. Here's a different version of his.

Great version WD to a great song from the early 70's!

I really enjoyed watching The Red Skelton Hour. He was a very good person :notworthy:

I found this where they took clips from his Rock-N-Roll Guests 1962 - 1970. Many of these songs bring back happy memories of a more relaxed period, ( at least in my life ).

And here is good music, fun, and a touch of humor.

Makes me wonder if "Animal" from the Muppets was inspired by the drummer :laughing7:

A little bit of Elvis.
Wherever he performed, my sister would follow. At the time I was not a fan, in fact to this day she claims I used her 45's as clay pigeons. :dontknow: But over the years he did grow on me.

Thanks Simon for all those great songs and memories... that was a great time to be young, back when we could understand the words to the songs!

I wasn't a big Elvis fan, either. I remember my dad always watching his movies and trying to get me to watch them with him. Sometimes I would, most times I wouldn't. And, like you, he has grown on me. Still, my all time favorite (I know I have played it before) is Teddy Bear
