Ive seen Ebay stores and Websites all over, that say "We accept Liberty Dollars" etc.

I dont get the problem. They are making their own Silver coins, to be used in trade, with
a value of the silver content... No different than have a 1oz. bar of silver. If
someone would take it as payment for a 12 dollar debt - why would it be illegal to do that ?

Or is the problem the "look" of it - being too similar to US coinage. Other than that, whats the fuss?

They do have a point, our money is valueless, backed by nothing. Fiat monetary system. If people ever stopped "believing" in the US dollar, it would be worth less than the paper it was printed on.

They oughtta change the motto to "In GOLD We Trust", no disrespect intended.

Totally agree ! Our money is only backed by good faith from our government. That
makes me feel safe... umm ya.

I think its a decent idea, and if they had a more distinct original look, I would bet there
wouldnt be much of a problem.
