F2 vs ace 250

I tried the Ace 250 before I bought the F2. Its a great performer IMOP. But heck, I love my F2! It's awesome, fast and will get the 11'DD coil in the next couple of weeks. I see it that everybody gets different depth range but I think it all depends on ground conditions. I have dug a clad dime in the 7" range. 5-6" range, coins get detected very easily using the f2 even at low sensitivity. But get the one that better suits your needs and better work for you!

I have been debating buying a 11DD for the F2. OR... getting a F4 and swap out the 10" concentric on it and just use the 11DD on the F2 just to see what I have been missing. I know that 4" sniper coil is a BEAST!!!

That's correct! I started to use it more extensively on my F2 since it simply finds more stuff! Plain and simple! I found a nail at 8" depth! This sunday I went out hunting an old family house, and hunted a small 10'x10' area and with the 8" coil and found 4 tabs, 1970's soda can, a few bottle caps and rusty nails. I switched to the 4" coil and hunted the very same area and found 2 1940's wheat pennies, and a 1964 SILVER Rosey! Ok my observation is that with the 8" coil those first targets were found somewhere in the 6-8 inches. And the wheat pennies and dime were found somewhere in the 5-6" depth. I think that with 8" coil targets are more visible deep than in the shallow and thats were the little guy shines!
