Equinox 800 Audio Quality compared to Deus

What makes them better than the stock ones? Who supplies them?

The ML Equinox stock wireless phones outwardly appear to be clones of the Miccus SR-71's APTX-LL phones. I own the SR-71's (owned them before I got the Equinox). I have compared both and the Equinox phones have noticebly muddy audio compared the Miccus branded phones. Strange. Maybe there is a quality control issue with wide variability in quality or perhaps ML opted for cheaper drivers. Who knows.

Miccus still makes the SR-71's but upgraded from BT 4.2 to BT 5.0. Some users have reported issues with the hit or miss pairing compatibility of BT 5.0 phones with Equinox. That is why pulltab recommended the BT 4.2 Trond phones.

The wireless headphones that came with the 800 did not work for me. Too dull bassy sounding. Problem is 800 is bluetooth 4.2 and hard to find good 4.2 headphones. Fellow forum member turned me on to the Trond BH01 wireless headpones 4.2 bluetooth and much better fidelity. Very happy with them. Also good to listen to pandora on my iphones when doing work around the house.

Had the Deus; have the EQX 800. I prefer the EQX with Quest wireless headphones...just personal preference here.
