I received this message today from a guy interested in purchasing one of my items.

Im not trying to waste your time or mine so Im just going to ask. What is the best deal you will take on this set?? My littlest son has been asking me for 2 years to get him some. And Im poor. Last Christmas he asked if he was bad and thats why santa didnt bring him any. I wanted to tear up. I figured if hes been asking for so long then he most really want them. So I really dont want to break his heart again.

Ok I am not a heartless grinch, but I am a born skeptic.

I looked at some of the items the guy bought in the last 3 months...... If little Johnny is going without toys for christmas, somebody is a really bad with money.

Like the one bum that begs for money at the intersection, I always see him smoking. Either he is bumming smokes too or he is begging for cigarette money. Sorry no spare change to feed your drug habit.

UPDATE! I told the guy what I was willing to sell the item for and he agreed! Fear not everyone little Johnny will not go presentless this christmas!

Sucker didn't think you would check their feedback...some people have a lot of nerve. What do the Pawn Stars say? Let me do some checking on that, its not that I don't trust you I just don't trust anybody.

Your ebay communication was most likly a large spam, sent to as many people as possible. They are casting their lines, hoping for a whale.

I used to work with a woman who was fired from our call center for pulling a similar scam.

Customers would call in to order, and she would go on and on about her little boy, not getting anything for Christmas. Well, people were sending her Xboxes, and elmo gear, ect.

Eventually, some of the gifters got a hold of the company, wanted money for their random gifts.

Most likely the same type of person went out and bought a big screen tv on black friday and fed his kid spaghettios for thanksgiving.way to go dad and i use the term loosely.

Tell them they are in luck and that you want only the highest bid/Buy now amount and they could turn of thier internet and sell thier computer to buy the much wanted item..

best odds scam right now, at least around here

KMart lay way Last year there was a run on "secret santas" they all headed to layaway's through out the tri county area.
& Paid off the ones particularly for children's gifts

IF I were inclined to, I'd have all the kids gifts in layway & get a poorly dressed (but not overdone) young couple , who look very much in love,
to show up christmas eve with $10 to put on it :laughing7:

if it didn't work, Oh well
