Interesting story, but they should have done some fact checking. It
sounds to me like they were doing some type of testing on the UAV,
and the following aircraft held all the test measurement equipment (and staff).

A UAV (aka: drone) does not have the capability to control a power grid,
nor could it create an independent EMP as that takes a massive amount of
power to initialize. Now, if you heard a huge "BOOM!", and looked up and saw
a forming mushroom cloud, THEN you've got a massive EMP. But then again,
if you're close enough to hear/see the detonation then having electrical power
would be the least of your worries.

no but unless they are in private or business hands, they are most likely there for
spying at the very least.

and even in Private hands like anything else it doesn't pay to get too complacent imo

I just don't understand the obsession with an inanimate object?? Drone, helicopter, plane, who cares. It's just an inanimate object. Why all the talk and fear of the big bad drone??
