Dr Tones using Equinox at the beach (video)

I had to watch it again to see the unexploded ordnance sign. Overall, somebody's probably going to find a nice Go Pro! The hunt itself seemed pretty average. Machine seemed to work just fine. I like pocket spills. May go to the beach this weekend coming if it warms as expected.
I was out yesterday, waist deep, bleak, nasty cold but fun to break the winter blues..only found a 42 nickel but worth ever second of the 3 1/2 hours. Good Luck this weekend Smokey!

OBN, I was only out Tuesday and Wednesday. I will be out the end of this week we're entering.

Joe, did you notice the surf in that video? The ocean can have my GoPro before I get into that stuff!

Exactly. He repeatedly mentioned the shore break and his desire to not get pounded. Besides, he never said he lost it in the ocean. Could have easily been just ripped off or it DID fall off his drone (at least he got the timelapsed shore pullback shot). I think he was just trying to make light of a bad situation rather than begging for a GoPro donation from the audience (please get real). I know I would probably just sulk about it for the rest of my vacay, making my family partake in my misery.

Thanks. Missed that. Tend to tune out all the extraneous production value stuff as you can see (except for that cool drone shot) and just focus on a coil swinging back and forth.

Coil...swinging...back...forth...back...hypnotic...must go detecting. Sorry, couldn't resist.

It says, pulll tabbb, pulll tabbb, pulll tabbb - one of these days it will finally be gold. One of these days.

I have trained my machines to ignore pull tabs. I'm working on making them just "fetch" good stuff while I sit in the truck.

I want to see that baby work fully submerged in saltwater.
Test absolutely NOT impressive.

Dr. Tones give that machine to Calabash Digger he
Will show you how to truly test a machine “without bias”

This is like asking Mr Whipple which brand is the softest

'Cept I don't think Calabash likes to get wet unless he's Bass fishin'.

Comment in regards to Calabash Digger was about the Test overall not just water. My comment was in regard to the post title “beach”. When I think of beach detecting I immediately think of the Surfline...maybe it’s just me...

Don't all multi frequency detectors work well in salt environment?

I would put it this way: In general, salt beach hunting benefits from using a Multi frequency detector, but not all Multi frequency detectors perform equally as well (just as various salt beaches have different characteristics that affect a detectors performance). That is why people are so anxious to see actual Equinox performance in wet salt beach conditions.

O man, I would like to have one of those too.
