What coin is it?

ancient coin.jpeg

Coin image looks like a terraced hill (older type of pyramid in Mexico)?

The user only send me the pictures Red_desert
The user dont say if its a coin
The site is in Israel

During the reign of King Solomon, he made Israel become very allied with Egypt and was said to have married an Egyptian princess. Maybe it could be ancient Egyptian?

Not your coin but description fits. Try to Google the Golden Pyramid Currency symbol. It rather appears more like a wax seal type of signet ring than a coin.

Ancient Coins Depicting Terraced Hills or Pyramids

Yes, there are ancient coins that depict terraced hill or pyramid structures, particularly from the Indian subcontinent. One notable example is the Arched-hill symbol, which appears on ancient Indian coinage. This symbol often features a representation of a hill or a series of hills, sometimes surmounted by a triangular or other symbolic figure, such as a crescent or star.

Significance of the Arched-hill Symbol

The Arched-hill symbol is believed to have originated during the Maurya Empire (3rd–2nd century BCE) and reflects the architectural styles and religious significance of the time. The depiction of hills or pyramidal structures on coins often symbolizes various cultural or religious beliefs, linking the coins to the broader historical context of the region.

Signet Rings in Ancient Egypt

Some of the earliest signet rings come from Ancient Egypt and are approximately 4000 years old. The Egyptians used signet rings to declare the social status or political/religious role of the wearer. These rings could be made from any number of different metals. Often, the intaglio design on the bezel face featured distinctive hieroglyphs carved deeply into the metal with identifying information like the name and rank of the wearer. Some rings featured a swiveling, oblong bezel surface decorated on both sides. By pressing the carved surface of the ring into soft wax, documents were sealed and signed in a single swoop.

Closer look at the top. Another possibility, it could represent a terraced hill side vineyard with a wine press. The ancient Hebrew alphabet is more runic a picture symbol representing animals, objects such as a basket, etc. One of the ancient Jewish alphabet characters, is actually a drawing of an ox head.

Quick reference to ancient form of letters. They have changed over time. Last character was crossed sticks, either like an "X' or simple cross. Meaning to "mark, signal, monument".

I cant stop!
Every chance i can im out looking and hoping i find an amazing treasure of sorts …
What i realize is that the Gold miners back in the 1800 era in Del Norte county were Dirt poor and i guess what im trying to say is if they had nothing well there wont be much to find unfortunately.
I am detecting all up where they were at and i found a couple civil war buttons a buckle of something maybe a horse and suspenders all from 1800’s which is cool but im going for Coins or jewelry but ifk where to look because were i am its Historical country & city but it says i gotta get permission and that makes me laugh because everyone i have asked says ummmm NOOO!
So idk where u guys find all these old beautiful coin pieces…
I no u all say u get permission…HOW?
I want to find a old coin so bad i can taste it 🤩😛
Have u hit any ghost towns? And what was the outcome if u have ?
I even go gold panning in GOLD COUNTRY AND STILL NOTHING 🤔😝
What am i doing wrong ?

Del Norte County in California has a rich history dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The first Europeans to explore the area were likely Spanish, and the first American expeditions were cut short in the early 1800s.
Old gold mining sites have already been heavily hammered by people metal detecting.

Are you searching for buried treasure? If legal access is possible, try around the old foundations.

Historical properties (whether state or federal) will be off limits to treasure hunting. Even when obtaining a permit is possible, most likely you won't be able to keep the finds.

Private property with permission, it first must be negotiated who can keep what (owner has the final say). Without permission it will be considered a theft or removed objects as stolen property.

Down in the southern part of my state years ago, a federal court ruled that the federal archaeological protection act, can also be applied to private land (if the treasure hunter failed to get permission).

Rather hard to see the coin details.

As for the 2 statues, don't have a clue yet. I did notice a couple of the characters do resemble 2,000 year old Hebrew alphabet. However the Jewish religion forbids making images of gold and silver to pagan gods. Except, 2 of the tribes of Israel settled east of the Jordan River and the Dead Sea. Jewish tradition became mingled with surrounding pagan cultures. Archaeologists' discovered a temple there with an alter to Yahweh next to another alter labeled Astaroth (a fertility goddess).

Just noticed the figure in middle is seated on what looks very similar to the Egyptian throne. The style also compares much closer to that of Egypt. Modern day bronze replicas are quite common. The statue you would need to examine and have tested to see if indeed an artifact. But these unlike a new shining replica, rather have the old used and excavated condition typical of dug artifacts.

Ancient Egyptian Statues of Gods and Goddesses on Thrones

In ancient Egyptian art, many deities were depicted seated on thrones, symbolizing their power and authority. Here are some notable examples:

Isis: One of the most significant goddesses in ancient Egypt, Isis is often depicted with a throne headdress, which signifies her role as the throne's personification. She is frequently shown seated, especially in contexts related to mourning or protection, such as when she supports the deceased Osiris on his throne.

Sekhmet: This warrior goddess, known for her fierce nature and healing abilities, is also represented seated on a throne. Statues of Sekhmet often depict her in a regal pose, emphasizing her status as a powerful deity.

Colossi of Memnon: While not a goddess, the statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, known as the Colossi of Memnon, are significant examples of seated figures in ancient Egyptian art. These massive statues depict the pharaoh in a seated position, showcasing the grandeur associated with rulers. These depictions not only highlight the importance of these deities in ancient Egyptian culture but also reflect the artistic conventions of the time, where thrones symbolized divine authority and legitimacy
