Re: Don't have a clue

Nothing appears to be broken off of it? Nor does it seem like it had anything else attatched to it. I did find a hole in the end.

It's 2 1/4 inches long & 1 inch wide at the top of the heart shape.

What loop? Is it not flat on the back? Hard to tell. Maybe a photo from the side?

Re: Don't have a clue

In the first and third photo you can see the loop on the backside. It's bent now but used to be curved top to bottom. Almost like a belt or strap went through?

Re: Don't have a clue

Ty - that was a cool vid. Even with dialup :o All those brooches are open in the back kind of like a pin on system. I don't think its furniture hardware. Although I am still searching sites to look. The hole is drilled to small and the wrong way (front to back not side to side) if that makes sense. Still looking for more ideas.

downindixie, you wouldn't happen to have a pic of the type of handle your talking about would you? This sort of looks handmade.

Re: Don't have a clue

This is the closest I could find in just a few minutes. The one on the house I was raised in was more like the one in question.

Re: Don't have a clue

Wasn't sure what type of handle you were talking about? This item is only a little over 2 inches long. I'm pretty sure its not a door handle. Also the little hole had to be for something? Almost like it was a pendant or something... I'm not sure why this little item is driving me so crazy? ::)

Re: Don't have a clue

Pulled it out of last years box of stuff. Still looking to figure this one out. I know I shouldn't but I may polish it...
