You sure don't see any B-58s or F-106s (or is that an F-102 at D-M...I have a hard time telling those two apart!) tooling around the skies anymore!!

It was interesting to see a pic from Alpena too!!!

I worked around the last active duty AF F-106 unit...the 49th FIS at Griffiss in NY - they deactivaed mid/late 1980s sending all remaining 106s to pull drone activity. They continues escorting Soviet bear bombers from our eastern coastline right up till the last day...

I have some great pictures of the Delta (Lawn) Dart... they were fun to watch fly. Too bad every sortie came home under IFE... LOL. A few never came home and ended up scattered all over the Adirondack Mountains. Pilots safe - glad to say...

Don - since retiring - I can't say I miss a damned thing about it except for the people...
