Does Anyone MD At Night?

I like the small LED lights they are bright and last forever.
But....If you want a serious light the best light you can get bar none is a racoon hunting belt light.
these are light weight and have multple power settings and these lights are unbelievable.
The light can give you just enough to see your meter or you can turn it up and light up the world for close to 6-7 hundred yards and believe it or not the the light is about as big a dip (tobacco) can.
On a single charge most of these lights will continously burn for 24hrs.
No I do not sell these lights, Iam just very very impressed with them.

One thing no one has mentioned yet. What to wear at night. I always wear clothes at night. Helps keep the bugs off. ;)

I'll keep this in mind. Welcome to Tnet, btw. I think. ;D

Caleb, who does sell them? Sounds pretty neat.

i hunt the beach a lot at night. it is cooler, and much less crowded. also it helps to avoid the goofy stares and comments. when im land hunting i never go at night though. i just never saw an advantage in it.

Ricardo_NY1, that is really cool! Also I haven't tried grabbing fistfuls of dirt in my hand and scanning them. That would sure beat the heck out of the way I'm doing it!

I haven't tried either yet. I'm pretty sure my first try is going to be on the beach. If you don't mind me asking where is the beach you hunt located...you don't have to name the beach. TKS....Pepper

Pepper, run a google search on led headband lites and look at a couple camping supply places.

You will be surprised... there's a LOT of really neat ones out there. Many different features & prices.

Less than $40 should get you a good one, and they are good for many other things.

Mr. Pepper would probably use it time to time!

The Jersey Devil is still out there somewhere...

I avoid night hunts!

Good idea, Neil.....you stick with the day hunts until that monster is found and dealt with! :o

Well it really started out as a joke. My daughter in Alabama said they was going to cook out. I told her to e-mail me one. lol She had gotten a new camara, and later at supper she thought about taking the photo. The other side has a great big bite taken out of it..

often...i wrap a snake light around my neck.
Two posts are doing what I am. The led light that clips on the bill of a baseball cap comes with three or five bulbs and you wont know its there.
The snap shot of a snipe brings back memories, they are real and real fast, I have hunted them next to a canal. Might as well be participating in one of the pranks kids pull. When you flush one, he is so fast its hard to get a shot off before he is gone.
I think I saw some at James Island In SC, other wise I only saw them in Turkey, where I hunted.
As for MDing at night, That really requires some plans. Be safe, be legal and with extra lights, and yes I would do it again. The beach is the best, not many snakes there. G'Day, Newt
