I don't know much about it however I have read that the amount of impurities is the biggest factor. Others can answer the question better.does anyone know the mix ratio for baking soda(used as flux)2:concentrated GOLD powder when doing a melt.
Borax is worthy of trying… 3 Mule Team, available at most big box stores and most grocery stores… Million and one uses for borax…..great stuff to keep on hand! There might be better choices for flux.
It's proportionate to Gold you're going to melt not baking soda but washing soda and borax equal parts. There is a lot of different mixes depending on what you're working with.does anyone know the mix ratio for baking soda(used as flux)2:concentrated GOLD powder when doing a melt.
