One tidbit picked up from a decade-old ‘Round the Square is that the business provided a good line of cigars — Gatos, Key West, Rotos, Portuondos and Steber’s.
W.D. Hart & Bros. is also mentioned in Pharmaceutical Record and Weekly Market Review, volume 15: “That Charles Green, who recently resigned his position with W.D. Hart, Bradford. Pa., to associate himself with George C. Fagman, a pharmacist, was presented with a handsome silver smoking set by his former employer, Mr. Hart. Mr. Green’s name, with the date on which he commenced to work at the drug store 13 years ago, and the date of his resignation are engraved on the set.”
