My wife was having a melt down cleaning the house and tossed me and my son out so she could “ do it right” so my son went to play basketball and I took my machine and went to my old standby spot for an hour. I wasn’t even getting repeatable tones for a while but I did manage to pluck a hunk a big lead, and old Corbin lock, a 18xx matron large cent and....... the ultra rare Rhode Island copper.

You dog! I've been after the elusive RI copper for years! Those are rarer than the Plymouth Pilgrim $10 gold pieces.

Yeah when the wife is in a cleaning frenzy....best to get out of the way.

That LC is nice, but that RI copper- practically banner material- Congrats!

You pop these old coppers like I pull memorial pennies... sheesh, nice job, great coins!
Congrats!

You are very fortunate that your wife didn't make you stick around for the cleaning blitz!
