Went to one of the more popular kid spots in my town early this morning. I figured it had to be loaded with good stuff. Almost bare of clad, but there was lots of foil, so thats what I dug. I was able to pull out my first gold chain and a gold earring though. They both came in at the foil range. The sun was out and I found a little gold, all in all it was a pretty good day.

I guess that just goes to show you....Great find's carat and HH!!

Nice finds, carat. :) Thanks for showing all the other objects you dug. It really shows a realistic picture of what you have to dig to find the good stuff.

Those gold chains are hard to find..Like you said you have to keep digging those pieces of foil and pulltabs to find that Gold....Nice going.. Keep on Digging !!!!!! Seeker

That some great finds Carat! :o

;)

Man nice finds

but for me I do not dig foil and I'm sure I have missed allot of gold but in a park I would not like to dig all the signals due to the amount of holes you must dig ( Lots of foil and tabs )
but in a field i dig almost all, except nails.

i wish i had the patience to dig foil like that! ...........and believe me.....i dont have much gold in my collection as a result! way to go on focusing in on a specific target and sticking with your plan. it sure did pay off. great digs!!

Awesome finds on the gold. Heck with the foil.

HH ;D

I will take that kind of find anytime. Congrats!!!? How do you like your DFX?? Burdie
I really like the DFX, especially it's versatility. I save different programs for different terrains and types of hunting I want to do, and it's a snap to change them out in the field. For example I use a program using both frequencies and some discrimination when searching fields. When I move over to some chips, I switch to a program with no discrimination and a single higher frequency. It's kind of like carrying a bunch of detectors all rolled into one.

My first gold was a gold chain. It was in the same hole as a penny and didn't show up at all on my detector. I just happened to see the end of it and started pulling and pulling and puilling.....it was 24" long! Good find that deserves an Excellent! Monty

That looks like my pile, ....without the gold goodies. Congrats on the outing.
