The darker the better, but if you get the light source close, it generally works in room lighting...

Thanks for the fast response. I was thinking abou daylight in shade, per se an outdoor diamond pit that has shelter houses. Guess I could use a box or coat to darken the table . Just a thought.

Sorry, but really haven't had the time to get it checked out yet....but from looking at it better I really don't think it is the band of the ring its peeling....knorrski

I found something similar once and the stones were CZs and to add insult to injury, the ring was silver plated with gold.!! Good luck with yours.

a local jewler or pwn shop will have a checker, somw walmarts have em too.take to wearing it and then when you are near a place i will be with you, very nice looking ring
even if it is cz's some of those rigns are not cheap either.
