hi all found this denarius earlier, very thich not too much on front but a good bit on rear, a horse and looks like a possible rider with a cape or possible charriot, any ideas? or possible dates or know any experts? cheers ...russ

more luck than anything else have had a few good finds lately in the same place had a Sestertius but very worn, the same day as my denarius also four silver coins in four visits a week before including my first hammered silver coin Elizabeth 1 (1561) date then another 2 the same! couldnt believe it plus a beautiful decorative button and a silver brooch basket of flowers,,,, all this though followed that stormy wet period not so long ago which seems better for detecting clearer signals and more depth i dont like it too warm and dry but still give it a go but certainly more luck than judgement where im concerned,,,

I never like it warm & dry, give me cold & wet any-day. I'm British.
