So me and 2 buddy’s went to our king Phillips war permission today, we weren’t finding much at first, buttons, musket balls, bell fragments, IHP’s and the usual farm field crappola. I was hunting a long a tree line, minding my own business when I hear someone shouting at me, I looked up and saw my two buddy’s waving their arms at me sooooooooo I started walking over to see what they found. My buddy started stammering saying something I couldn’t understand so I looked in his hand and saw what he just found. Not to spoil the story, I spent the rest of the day looking for another. I found a 1782 Reale and I was disappointed ( just for a second) but a big congrats to him for finding a hard to find coin in any condition. I will picture my crappola first and then his beautiful find.

What a beauty!!! Hard to imagine being bummed about finding Spanish Silver but I get it now!

Big congratulations on your Spanish Silver and thanks for sharing your buddies find.

Interesting that because the B (LIBERTY) on the 1796 is open on the top and bottom, it is referred to as a normal "LIKERTY" version. (Sadly his isn't the 1796/5 variety.)
