On December 17th friend and detecting buddy Jim Trestrail, AKA Deepdigger60 passed away in his sleep. For some who don't know Jim was a Vietnam Vet. He live out on the east end of long island and enjoyed detecting old farm fields. I have fond memories of detecting with him. I just ask for prayers for his family. He will be missed. RIP Jim! He was buried at Calverton Cemetery (long island) with full military honors. jim tres.jpg here is a picture of him before he passed.. I can tell you he was one tough SOB!

That's too bad. I exchanged messages with him a couple years back and it seemed like he had a few things going on he had to deal with, but after that it appears he bounced back... at least from what I could see with his post from various hunts.

he was a Loooooong time smoker.. always telling me he was gonna quit and that he needed a pacemaker..

We all have our demons, just too bad he didn't make those changes if that's what got him.

Sorry for the loss of your friend....

American by birth, Patriot by choice.

I would rather die standing on my two feet defending our Constitution than live a lifetime on my knees......
