Date on These 'pewter' shamrocks ??
Hi all,
Found six of these scattered around one site,
then two more half a mile away....
Both sites have items 17th to 20th C.
The blistering is typical of cast pewter buttons I find here.
I think it will be a tough call dating these with any accuracy,
The backs are flat with no markings.
some retain small flecks of gilding.
I'm guessing 1850-1900...
