Good afternoon fellow detectorers,

I had posted the items for identification early, except the crotel bell which was found on a previous hunt. I gave the Indian a short peroxide bath to remove some of the green crud that was on the coin after just washing with soap and water. The flat button was identified as a dandy button, pre 1800 I was told. The crotal bell's age is unknown. I have found 4 lantern tops already at the site. The bullet I found was pre-civil war. We just got a bunch of rain today so I'll be back over there soon to see what else I can dig from this historic site. Thanks for looking and I hope you are not getting tired of my post of the same place. I am too thorough sometimes. Ron

I'm going to work it again this weekend. We got lots of rain so hopefully some new targets in the front yard. Thats where I have found most of my finds.

You are so right. I cleaned up 2 and the first one is: Pat. Dec 17, 1867. The second one has several pat. Dates 10/14/1862 7/23/1863 12/10/1867
