At the spot we have continued to pull stuff from. It’s close to a revolutionary battlefield. This ball was almost 2 feet deep. Is it a cannon ball?!! Weighed 24.4 pounds on a scale. Don’t have the tools to measure anything else and info on button would be nice as well. Some research tells me they did make 24 pound canon balls.

We took this to a local museum on a revolutionary battlefield a mile or so away from where it was found. Curator said it is 100 percent a cannon ball could of been fired from a British ship,possibly from the 6 man o wars in the Delaware river in support of the battle that took place there. They were the only ones with the cannons that fired these unless the canons ended up in Americans hands they didn’t have the cannons to shoot these cannon balls. Kinda cool. And that probably isn’t a marking but who knows haha.
