Curse of Oak Island, Season 3

I am sure that the History Channel is funding everything, from experts to equipment.

"probably " find nothing? Have you not seen these shows before?

Just finished watching the show. I must say it is very interesting and I enjoyed it.

I watch the show, and interesting. Finding a dead body was interesting. May God bless the soul.

If I was there I'd say screw all the other far out there crack pot theory's and concentrate only on getting down the shaft to find out whats at the bottom. And I don't have much faith in that satellite stuff or they'd find every treasure on the planet in a year or so. Just my Opinion.

If they found a body with any flesh present they should call the police, because in fresh water it would be all bones in under five years. Even in a deep well.

Salt water - two years; unless it's VERY deep.

Great minds think alike :occasion14:

I just made a post on another thread about that :tongue3: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/o...-oak-island-mini-series-january-5-2014-a.html so I won't rinse & repeat :tongue3:

but the most they could expect is Bones,
& Bones don't hold their shape once the flesh, muscle & cartilage are gone.
unless maybe in a Rubber Dive suit.

and agree. If they find a "human Body" the site becomes a Law enforcement issue :laughing7:

I have read that cold water can preserve bodies for a very long time. They say some cold lakes, like Superior are supposed to hold bodies forever.

I won't argue something I can't back up with facts, But I would think the only place
actual bodies may be found would be in icebergs & other permanently frozen spots .

add to that Superior is a freshwater lake. and the pit is supposed to be filled from a trap
coming from the ocean (saltwater) in any event trap or not, the water was supposedly tested as being salt water. I don't remember if the divers ever complained of the water being too cold to tolerate.

I would like to look in the face of a real 500 year old Corpse
from the pit. but I won't hold my breath

Maybe someone will toss another fresh spanish coin into the mud bog so they can find it in 10 seconds with a metal detector

Its possible for bodies to survive like bog people. But I don't know about in just water.

missed it, have to catch it on demand, thanks for the heads up

For me I watched a few last year but generally it is a waste of my time.

The show is like the professional wrestling of archeology/treasure hunting. It's entertaining to watch, but if you're over the age of 12 you should understand it's not real.

unless maybe in a Rubber Dive suit.:
This is more or less what I thought. Someone else has dived down that hole in the past looking for the treasure and gotten stuck and drowned. The rubber suit gives the body shape.

Looking forward to them getting down there but I bet it takes them the whole season to get there. There are 13 episodes this season I believe
