Tee,
I think you won that round :headbang: :hello2:

I have a million of them but do not like to use them...but enough is enough on this poor lady. She is a human being that is 85 years old and has found love...I would love to know here and hear all about all the things she has seen and done in her lifetime. Here wrinkles are a badge of honor in my book.

Plus, look at it this way, she has had a stressful life, she has 6 kids, 2 previous husbands, not to mention having to deal with the pressures you KNOW she went through during her life, so of course she isn't going to age THAT gracefully. Yes I said stress, think about all she has to do everyday, all the people she has to deal with, like T said, each wrinkle, each laugh line, has been well earned, and the fact that she isn't spending money on cosmetic surgery is to be applauded!!! There is too much pressure nowadays to look perfect, to be perfect, when we all should be thankful for what we have!!!! So let's get off this ladies back, let her enjoy her life and love, life is too short and precious!!!! Oh, and if your going to make fun of someone, then be tasteful, yes people joke, and that is fine, and enjoyable at times, but sometimes jokes can hurt, and be carried too far!!!! Ok, I've said my piece, sorry, I'm done now! Red

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

do I know a good blonde joke ? yah MEN , cuz they can not seem to marry "dumb" blondes fast enough-- but these dumb blondes once married refuse to work in many cases and just sit at home and demand everything to be given to them and often get it too , the smuck men they marry tend to work themselves to death to try and make the blondes happy by buying them everything in the world , then the guys are shocked to find that while they have been working two shifts to "provide" everything -- the blondes have been messing around on em --even though the "dumb blonde" had it good --geez hello guys think --they are "dumb blondes" --they do what they want to , went they want to and with whoever they want to --and once they get divorced they get at least "half" of your stuff that you sap men worked for --geez whos's "dumb" after all?

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

Well, the scientific community finally figured out what's up with blondes.

And I still stand by my dumb blonde theory. My wife is blonde and yes opposites DO attract. She still qualifies as a dumb blonde, she married me :D :D :D

take a good look at the picture you have posted...one lady sitting there while how many men are standing around with a blank expression on their face? perhaps they were thinking with their one little brain....got a picture of that one?
Naw, they all mistook her for TSA & they're waiting to pass on the scan & be groped. ::)

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

Another question. What is the difference between insulting (mean spirited) humor and harmless funny humor? The way it is percieved by different people? We all are different. We all do not react the same way to the same joke.

I personally do not think making fun of this woman is funny. However, I do think blonde jokes are funny.

Is the feeling of joy and cheer the same if you build someone up as it is when you take fun at their expense? If this dutchess was in the same room with you would you be telling your jokes about her? Where is the line on "Harmless" humor.

of course no one would! I mean that is common sense! But arguing with a group of strangers about why it isnt nice on the internet isnt going to stop anyone this is the internet :dontknow: ...... All i am saying is everyone has there own ways and sometimes you just have to pick your battles and this is one along with plenty other that could go on forever! No one will ever agree on any one thing collectively! Its the sad truth but it is the truth! It can go back and forth until we are blue in the face you know!

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

I mean anyone in the public eye will be judged no matter what anybody says! Beautiful women will be called ugly or fat by somebody! You notice how not one person said a word about the her "long lost brother" ? no one knows who he is so therefore no one cares! But in the same light if he was "famous" someone would have said he was ugly as sin!

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

Here is another curiosity. Some bald guys are the brunt of jokes, yet others get a pass, and are even percieved as tough or macho.

FC....this is for you....a true story.
We have a crew of county employees where I work that take care of the janitorial needs throughout our project. It is a crew made up mostly of mentally challenged guys that do a good job of keeping things neat around here. One day one of them came up to me and said he had a problem. When I asked him what it was he said he wanted to play the lotto that night but he didn't know what numbers to play. I told him, "James, why don't you get the crew together, write down everyone's IQ score and play those numbers?" He thought for a second, called me a SOB in a loving way and walked off laughing and saying, "That's a good one!" He had known me long enough to know I didn't say that in a demeaning way and I had known him long enough to know he could appreciate the humor.

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

That's a lot of the problem with the net. Without tone inflection & facial expressions it's really easy to READ things the wrong way & get your nose bent. I'm sure we've all typed something & had someone blast back & we've sat there re-reading our comment wondering how the heck they got that out of what I typed? Amazing how much of our communication depends on tone inflection & facial expressions.

Man, this has been one crazy discussion. Way back near the beginning I requested that this thread be locked or deleted. Maybe the Moderators know more about running a thread than I do! :laughing9: :coffee2:  ;D

Carry on....

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

what we all need to realize is this is a picture! Big deal everyone is entitled to their opinion just as you are! We are arguing about a lady we will never meet or see in person! We are a bunch of people with nothing better to do than sit on TNet and argue about a picture! Love ya TT!!! ;D

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

sure good manners thru life are a good thing etc.
no one is saying otherwise

a crack at an ugly picture isn't going to ever stop. it is what it is....if the lady was in the room would I say she looked as ugly as a crypt keepers wife. Nope, that is manners, but when I get in the car and turn to hubby and say it, heck yea! :)

would I say it on the net...yup

and what is worse is all the 'holier than thou' stuff being written, everyone on this board at some point has put others down...don't be lying either! Human nature says at some point in life you joined in cracks about others.

I haven't met a person that ever has not made a crack about someone's job etc., their whatever about their life, their idiot family did whatever, or something.

Re: Crypt Keeper's Wife

You just might have a point there FC. One could post ANY pic and someone somewhere, if shown to enough people, would have something negative to say about it. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder! ;D
