CRISPINS CRITTERS

A long, cold, rainy week it surely has been...

Today,
A ray of hope,
A promise of light....And,
A Friend called me.

Sonja, from DRC, would like for me to repair a client's equipment.

How can I refuse my fellow man's need?
I told her that I would! :headbang:

I called the client's phone number and talked with his caretaker.

I will go to repair mechanical things tomorrow around noon.

I will connect with a new Friend about that time also!

Hope y'all have a Great Weekend, too!

Best,

Scott

When yer thinkin' of campin'? :BangHead:

You know,
In my North Georgia Mountains...

Beyond that which has ever been seen by anyone.
Ever.
In my Mountains....So much Beauty...Let me show you....

I'm sorry....

I digress....

(Dang! I gotta get out there 'fore anyone else does and claims my site!)

Best,

Scott

And,
Then,
It rains....

Always be ready for "The Rain" to fall.

Brings about a fresh, clean smell. After the napalm strikes...."

Because we live in a NOW state of mind brother. Everything has to be NOW!

Scott,

When it comes to veteran's day/remembrance day we should all take a few moments to reflect on the sacrifices people made to defend our liberty and freedom.

This poem is a reflection of that spirit.

The first chapter of In Flanders Fields and Other Poems, a 1919 collection of McCrae's works, gives the text of the poem as follows:[SUP][9][/SUP]

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Be in their flowing cups freshly remembered
This story shall the good man teach his son
And Crispin, Crispin shall ne'er go by
From this day to the ending of the world
But we in it shall be remembered
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile
This day shall gentle his condition
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves acurrsed they were not here
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispins Day!

This is my all time favorite. Taught to me by a Commander (his rank) from ST6- he was a mans man. JH. I know you are still out there sir. You and I have a history. We saved each other's asses....... You know what I mean. JH. You were the one officer I would follow to hell and Satan would be afraid you and I would take over! We've poured the same blood, in the same mud....... Sir I thank you for the life lessons and time we had together. This is a credo an ethos that Commander JH told me years before it hit Hollywood, years before it hit your tv screens. To JH my mentor --
So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion, respect others in their view and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and it's purpose in the service of your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.........Tecumseh.

Thank you Commander JH for being my mentor........HOOOYAH

Hey Scott do you go to Elijay, Georgia when you hit the mountains! I've been there years ago it's beautiful. Must be gorgeous this time of year. Check the spelling on that...... I am getting old haha. Ps your move brother.

2GF,

Stirring words, indeed!
Thank You!
Ellijay is a bit North and West of where I go when I go to the mountains.
I agree; It IS beautiful all around the mountains,
especially in the Spring and Fall!
-----------

Bill,
Thanks for the words of your post.
I have heard/read that before many times and always enjoy such Patriotic Literature.

In Honor of the United States Remembrance of Veteran's Day,
I'd like to point out that America has strong allies throughout the world,
and,
Well, let's let Gordon tell it....

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Should be a piece of cake for you, Brother!

Lookee! A real floor! Indoors, too, I'd wager....no rainin' on ya while you work!

It has rained so much here in the last 2 weeks,
I'm rememberin' reading in a book somewhere about, "40 Days and 40 Nights!" :icon_scratch:

It may seem hard to do, but I'd want to take my time and be patient.

But, the sooner ya get 'em right, the sooner y'all can enjoy 'em! :headbang:

Have fun, Buddy!

Best,

Scott

PS. Always keep me in mind if you need keys....

Thanks Scott! I may just need a Suzuki key as it only came with one. I plan on taking my time with it and most of likely I am going to bore it and rebuild the too end. I'd like to replace the plastics but the price of them is cost prohibitive. The people who had this just were a bunch of hacks. Ran it into the ground. Good thing I got it when I did . Should make a good quad to run in the Florida swamps sometime in the future.

Lol, I do love my garage, I have worked many years outside and I just hate doing that. I think my garage is the only one around with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom!

Not a clear picture of the chess board but....
Two white queens on the board? (Yeah, I said it.)

Music to wait for a chess move......with multiple or misrepresented figures.

RC, my Friend,

Reading over past posts,
I played your old "Traffic, 'Shootout at the Fantasy Factory'" selection once again and it reminded me of another Traffic album that I also once owned.
(Once again, Saxophone is Boss!)

And lost ALL in an ugly divorce.
Among MANY other things....
AHEM!

Anywhich,

For your enjoyment!

Best Wishes Always!

Scott

"Ah, we all need to slow down a bit and contemplate, yes?"

More chess playin' music, I guess? :icon_scratch:

"Join me for Dinner, Friend?
I hope you like Ramen....I have a special recipe in mind."

Ever hear of "John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers?"

----------

Yeah, lost this one, too.
An album collection valued conservatively at $25,000-$30,000.
I feel lucky to still have several 78 rpm's including Elvis, Hank Sr., some GREAT old blues and even an ULTRA RARE recording of President William Taft!
I still have about 100 or so 33 1/3rpm albums left.
Cream of the crop?

Maybe....

A mere shadow of the 10-12 thousand lost....
Let's not talk about the Stamp Collection, OK?.....

If you can tell me what blank it is I can help.
(I'm guessing a SZ4P)

Best would be to send me a picture.
Are you familiar with micrometers?

Easiest would be to send me the key and I'd match the blank and cut as many keys as you need!

Here's an idea....

Check with your local Suzuki dealer with the VIN and see if they can provide you with a "Key Code."

PM that code to me and VOILE!

I'll cut as many duplicates as you need, to FACTORY SPECS!

There's more than one way to butter yer hot corn on the cob, Brother!

Best,

Scott

CRISPIN'S CRITTERS

I'll send a picture as soon as I can walk out to the garage again. I also will check on the key code. THANKS!!

It's a short key with a large round rubbery splash guard built in

Would the key code be stamped on the key or the switch possibly?
