CRISPINS CRITTERS

JG I had a thing for Stevie too but sounds like you were more of a man I bow down.....I have a story about Fleetwood Mac. My parents divorced back in the day and my mother was dating a man that drove your buses for big bands like Fleetwood Mac, Rick James and the such when they were touring. I actually got to meet Super Freak. Had dinner with him. So Bill tells me he's driving Fleetwood Mac across Texas and they start drinking really hard and smoking pot and throwing stuff and getting really rowdy. Lindsey sits beside Bill and starts trying to take over driving the bus. Bill said they were getting dangerous trying to drive the bus all terribly drunk. So Bill takes an empty bottle of whiskey and at their next refuel stop he fills it up with tea. So they are driving again the kids are getting louder and louder and the monkeys are trying to run the zoo. The whole time Bill makes it a point to let the band members see him chug a 5th of whiskey (tea) and Bill starts singing out load acting like they are, runs off the road purposefully a few times, slams on the brakes! He said in less than an hour as drunk as they were they were all sitting in their seats, seatbelts fastened, scared straight!!!!!!!! This is one of my family's feel good stories about celebrities. Oh yeah Rick James took me and my wife out to a nice dinner, then back stage passes. I was a poor Army Private. He treated us like royalty. I was very thankful.

Scott,

I'm glad your friend Julie got the permanent job....well deserved I'm sure.

Bill

I was introduced to Julie a couple of years ago by a Psychology Professor, Dr. Ringger, and Julie helped me and my group with a Psychology Research Project that benefited the Shelter.

A long-lasting Friendship was created!

Best of Wishes,

HA! I ALSO did Construction Work part-time (Nielsen Construction Co... did full-time work for 'em at Bridgewater College, previously), while going to JMU; we did construction work on front campus (Wilson Hall, the Blue Stone buildings)... went to classes (Winter-time) in my Construction "garbs", took my White Hard Hat off, listened/participated as a student. Classmates eyes were WIDE... PROBABLY thinking; WHAT is this long-haired, bearded
"REDNECK" doing here? ANYWAY, I was a polite, very intelligent REDNECK, wiping the RED CLAY "mud" off of my boots... before entering my classes... LOL!

Skyline Drive ......couldn't remember the name of it until you said it! That kind of beauty stays with you a lifetime burned into your brain forever. My landlord worked construction also, and he complained that they made him wear boots on his feet! He would come home from work and the first thing he would do is get them boots off and roll up his pant legs. I swear he could walk through a brier patch barefooted! He told me when he was a kid he was the same way in school and hated wearing shoes. I was 19 years old when I lived there....that was 31 years ago!!!

So,
Would anyone care to hear an early Fleetwood Mac with Bob Welch?
I have the album....
(Bare Trees)
bare trees.webp
With Christie and Mick.....

Best,

Scott

( ) my tear...............I LOVE YOU I miss you, I am sometimes left to tears because I dont have you to talk to anymore..........but we knew what we were getting into....sometimes I feel lost without you guys.........Remember when you guys tied me naked to that tree at Little Creek? The small things......right..........and me driving the van in El Paso with some of you clowns pulling every fuse, it was an emergency procedure at 85 miles per hour!!!!! But you kept me out of jail. 2GF,

Remember the good times you shared with your teammates.....you were spared for a reason not to be questioned by you.....keep the faith buddy.

Veterans Day is very high on my list of priorities I was wearing a poppy on my jacket a bit earlier in the week and lost it for some reason or another and bought 2 more today to give thanks for the sacrifices our veterans made on behalf of all of us and keeping our freedom and countries safe.
