CRISPINS CRITTERS

Tree can grow, maybe adapt, but keeps it roots. Not a duplicate of trees past but a tree still. Speaking of stills....

Funny you should ask...
Among other masterpieces.....

In my Sociology classroom is a copy of "Starry Night.,"
By Vincent Van Gogh....

Hanging upon the wall, for me to see....

Seems that we all run....

To our youth , through our memories.
Friends, NOW is the time to make memories!

Make that difference!
Be young, once again and be remembered!

Now I understand.....

starry night.webp

No one but you and I know....

Best,

Scott

Ps.
Should I ask if my Professor can identify other copies of famous paintings,
hanging upon the walls of his classroom?

I see a Jackson Pollock, among others....8-)

Should such queries be posted on another thread? :dontknow:

Or, not at all....

Perhaps,

I post too much......

All anyone needs is a miracle......
Believe in miracles! I Do!

Reality check....

Is this how you pictured Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship?
Really?
I'm saddened.

My Favorite is....

(Name the movie and the star Female lead's name)

Eh...? I have my undergrad major degree in Psychology; minor in Religion... AND! Cognitive Psychology DIDN'T exist when I was in school. MUCH more to learn... HA!

When's the last time you took a Psychology course? Sociology? Any College?
Ya know, I'm flunkin' in math big time, ....but,

James Madison University - Shenandoah Valley, Virginia; Psychology (Maj), Religion (Min)... 1977; Masters (M.Ed).... 1978.
Once you get degree, do what you want "within reason". I had MANY Religion & Philosophy courses, could have had DOUBLE Majors... Psychology and one in Philosophy & Religion (would have been a TWO year program)... went for MASTERS in Counseling Psychology, instead. Masters Program (JMU) was a two year(s) program; did it in one & a half. "Career" was: House-Parent (was married at the time) for Farm-School for "Troubled boys", Rehab. Counselor at Sheltered Workshop, Rehab. Counselor for Va. Dept. of Rehab. Services, Senior Peer Counselor for Woodrow Wilson Center for Independent Living, Community Relation Coordinator for Independence Resource Center (Piedmont area, Va.), Corrections Counselor for MAX Security Prison in Va,. Treatment Programs Supervisor for same prison...was also Top-Administrator-on-Duty (WARDEN), ENDED up as TAOD, the last month (1992) of my "career". Been on Disability/State Retirement since... BUT! Did VOLUNTEER work for Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy and Virginia State Police; bored on Disability/Retirement, I MAY return to Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy... got some ideas for CIVILIANS helping Law Enforcement in CRIME PREVENTION, even reporting Crimes-in-Progress via High-Tech Phones linked with local Police/Sheriff "Dispatch". Scott, YOU can help Native Ppl with your Psych. Degree, I thought you have Cherokee Nation "blood". I have Powhatan/Monacan Nations "blood". GOOD LUCK! MATH...? I HATED Math & Statistics... MAY find tutorials on the "Net"... dunno. BLUNTLY, Math & Statistics classes were a WASTE of my time. I did a LOT of "independent" study of Jung, Frankel... on topics of an "occult" (hidden) nature; spent LOTS of time outdoors, meditating, contemplating, thinking, reflecting... :coffee2: Coffee...? BTW: Here's the FUNNY part... I started out in Sociology, but had a "Prof" who was German and spoke MANGLED English; being Hearing-Impaired & reading lips didn't help (1970... graduated from HS in 1969, went to community college for 1 1/2 years; dropped out (found my "calling"... Psychology); JMU-bound.

I went to James Madison University also Rebel! I majored in remodeling their science building, namely plumbing it with G.J. Hopkins out of Roanoke. I lived just outside of Harrisburg about half way to Elkton. I will never forget the first time I pulled an eel out of the Shenandoah River, I thought I caught a snake! We don't have those in Iowa. We used to drive through the Shen. Park and count the deer by the hundreds grazing beside the road and paying us no attention at all. It is beautiful there and I enjoyed my time spent in Virginia thoroughly.

P.S. Still remember Highs ice cream too!

ELKTON? 6 miles north of my hometown in Page County... SHENANDOAH! First wife & I also lived outside of Harrisonburg... in a MENNONITE Trailer Court, across from EMC. Ha! I burned incense while meditating, and the owners/landlords thought we were smoking POT! HA!

If you lived half-way to Elkton, you were in the area of Peaked Mountain aka Massanutten Mountain(s)... DYK, German settlers buried GOLD in those hills...? DYK, there was Massanutten Caverns opened to the general public in the early 60's; then it became a CIVIL WAR museum...? As a kid, went in BOTH; if I had the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$, I would move back "up there", and make an offer to buy 'em BOTH! As a young adult, did part-time work for Del Webb, as Stone-Mason's
Helper, "pointing up" Stone Fire Places in Resort Homes, as other workers were blasting out rattlesnakes, copper-heads, etc. Even rented a house with another guy, for a year in the Resort area; saw all four Seasons... Winter was Beautiful! AND! Big Meadows on Skyline Drive (SNP) was FAMOUS for those deers; wild, yet friendly enough to come up to your car... "for a hand-out".

HA! I ALSO did Construction Work part-time (Nielsen Construction Co... did full-time work for 'em at Bridgewater College, previously), while going to JMU; we did construction work on front campus (Wilson Hall, the Blue Stone buildings)... went to classes (Winter-time) in my Construction "garbs", took my White Hard Hat off, listened/participated as a student. Classmates eyes were WIDE... PROBABLY thinking; WHAT is this long-haired, bearded
"REDNECK" doing here? ANYWAY, I was a polite, very intelligent REDNECK, wiping the RED CLAY "mud" off of my boots... before entering my classes... LOL!
