CRISPINS CRITTERS

hey jammie bud, what's the coin weigh? gold content?

There's nothing about being poor here in the North Country...read your thread and really great find!....Gary

It was a great day of detecting and Artifact hunting, going to be hard to beat. This past weekend was one to remember as well. I'm hoping for the trifecta this coming Saturday when I Kayak up to a spot that I've been itching to get back to when the water (it's that time of the year) has receded.

Chris,

I'd have that gold coin either mounted on a ring or wear in on a gold chain around your neck....should keep the bad spirits or whitey away which ever gives you grief first.

6.45 gr. and it's 90% gold according to what I've looked up. Not worth as much as the average gold ring, just over $200 I believe.

I'd inlay it in the quirt that you use when you get Jeff in the sweat lodge.....he'd appreciate lashes with 22 k. gold.......Gary

Uncle Bill read your US history. Gold brings whitey.

isn't a quirt the thing you beat horses with? ( I'm agin beating horses)

BTW, where is the squiggerator?

It was also, I think, used to count coup on your enemy, as it was brave to ride up and simply touch him, than to actually fight him, to many tribes , counting coup was the highest form of bravery....Gary

I'm not a fan of wearing any jewelry, I'm thinking it would look nice in a small frame along with the Jasperlite knife that I found that day, the man cave could always use another decoration.

Chris,

Kind of funny I get a kick out of finding gold and silver rings and jewelry but don't wear any go figure...lol...
