In hopes to help generate membership of some more like minded people for the list, I do believe it's Snakehead time. This is a very simple Thai recipe that is quick and easy to prepare. This fish dish could very easily be served in high end restaurants.
BackBacon's (aka BackStrap) Thai My Shoe Sweet Chilli Snakehead
Clean your fish and cut into 5 ounce portions. Place the Snakehead fillets and 1/2 of a cup of Corn Starch into a plastic bag. Shake the bag until the fish is covered in the Corn Starch. Let the fish sit in the bag for ten minutes while giving it a shake every 2 minutes. Heat some vegetable oil in a saute pan to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take the fish out of the bag and place the fillets into the preheat oil. Fry those invasive sinners for 5 to 6 minutes on either side. Once the fish is a nice dark golden brown take it out of the pan and place it on some paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Pour off all of the oil except for 2 Tablespoons worth. To the hot oil in the pan add 1 Tablespoon each of chopped garlic and chopped Thai chillies. Fry the garlic and chillies for about 2 minutes then add 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, 1/4 cup of fresh chopped Cilantro and 1 cup of Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce. Cook the sauce while stirring for 2 minutes. Place the cooked Snakehead fillets on a plate and pour the sauce over top. Throw some chopped Scallions (green onions) on top, a few lime wedges on the side and we're done.
I would like to put a motion to the members of "Crispin's Critters" if it's time for a dessert recipe or two? I am open to requests of all sorts. How does "Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Banana Egg Rolls" sound? Still no government takeover to report from the great white North. The Canadian Air Force is currently on patrol and ready to act if G.I.B. deems it to be necessary.

Folks, I want to bring everyone's attention to a thread called Chicago Cop. It contains what I feel is extremely racist/sexist views and language. I would encourage everyone to check it out and to voice any opinions that they might have on the thread.
We had a post concerning Jews lining up for the ovens yesterday that another member alerted me to. That one was taken down after it was called out.
Regardless of religion or political views I would hope everyone would find this type of language reprehensible. If course the fist amendment protects bigoted speech but it also protects our right to respond. Best
