and I will take the VA results with me to help facilitate consideration....

Bone marrow donation is extremely painful...ain't gonna lie to you. It is also not without risks. They stick hundreds of tiny needles into your pelvic bones to harvest the marrow. However, if you match....you will save a life. I have lots of patients who are alive only because of anonymous bone marrow donors.
