CRISPINS CRITTERS

Replacement.

Next the exhaust need addressed. This firebird, with this engine has a very restrictive exhaust. Cat or no cat? Either a high flow cat ot eliminate it... unless the car in the future gets an inspection. The age of the car, 1992 might be exempt. Then the very poor air cleaner, it will get a high flow air cleaner, and a TBI flow enhancer and that's all the performance improvements I'm doing.

Yes it looks like a salad bowl but for these TBI's it works great.

I used a noid light on the last T.B.I. I had.
Was having a problem diagnosing the performance issue. Which ended up being of all things , (sorry if I'm repeating myself) a kinked fuel line.

Ever label plug wires to change out a cap and still mess up the firing order?
A Saturday afternoon out in the country getting ready to head out , but after dealing with a miss/chug fire a while a tune up was in order.
So , there I sat with a no start.
Sat and weighed option of a long walk to a village in hopes of getting a book on it before the autoparts place closed early due to being Saturday...
Or....How many different ways was there to scramble/ unscramble a firing order?

Took a few tries but got it.

351 engine with P.C.V. valve allowing an airwash on a valve that burned. That was my miss/chug at low speed.
Note the hint of a pattern between me and hick ups in engines.::)

If it was me, the cat would be mia! Are you subject to smog inspection in Oregon? When I left in early ‘90’s it wasn’t required. I hear Washington state is finally doing away with it! About time!!!

Ah yes, one of my favorite movies of all time is on The Fisher King with Robin Williams memories......

Maybe in the cities? I'm looking into that.
Portland metro area 1975 on has to be inspected to register the vehicle.
Medford. 20 years old or newer.

Woo hoo!!
That means the smog pump and the A. I. R. can go bye-bye too.

You Instigator Diesel!

I suspect some off road fuel being run around here sometimes.
One truck I get a whiff of sulfur near, and another makes my eyes water at fifty yards....
There are a lot of farms around.

Green Feet

This tradition arose during the Vietnam War, at which time the most commonly used USAF helicopter was the then CH-3E, nicknamed the Jolly Green Giant due to its enormous size and olive drab exterior. Later the CH53 E Super Jolly Green Giant. The tradition came about when pilots, navigators, enlisted aircrew, or other military personnel were in need of rescue. After these personnel were rescued, they would proceed to receive the temporary ink-stamped "tattoo" of the green feet on their buttocks due to the fact that the Para Jumpers "saved their ass." Yes, I have 2 green feet tattooed on my arse, but I had to save a life first before they were authorized.
