I have a question for all. How much do you think you are spending for supper for everyone that lives in your home?
I ask because my son says it’s cheaper for the 5 of them to eat out every supper . I don’t believe so

Tonight's leftovers from the previous couple nights home cooked meals...... A couple dollars each maybe.
Mixed plates. Biscuit and chicken ala king kinda stuff. Leftover chicken breast piece ,some frozen veggies ,rice ,cream of chicken. One plate (hers) the slop bedded on biscuits. Mine bedded on rice.
Nearest place to eat it's $25-$30 plus for both of us. ($30 area if desert to go is ordered for night time).
$8 buck type items , plus coffee is my average. I tend to tip well too.
Once in a great while the cook also , but more often I pop my head in the kitchen and holler "thank you". So...There's another few bucks.
That's about 12 miles round trip at 12 m.p.g. if I drive like a granny. So toss in a gallon of gas to the cost.
Driving farther does not mean it's cheaper.
A two days worth of decent order out to pick up pizza with four (?) toppings runs 14 dollars. (That's about $3.50 a meal at home. Plus my coffee and her water.)
Desert might be a piece of candy/chocolate ,or if groceries were brought home recently a cookie or slice of cake.
Both get made at home at intervals too.
You know my breakfast. One slice of toast with peanut butter.
Lunch today was a handful of peanuts and a stale donut (on sale last grocery trip).
How much did I spend on food today? Nothing.
How much did my individual food for the day cost? Hmmm.
Probably half at least the cost of dining out solo for one single meal.
Did burn some little electricity and a spit of gas.
Which means little when running an electric space heater all day. Been a dead furnace about a month. But a new one is scheduled to be coming in a couple weeks. With a new A/C.
Then I might celebrate with Chinese or something...

Either a high flow cat ot eliminate it... unless the car in the future gets an inspection. The age of the car, 1992 might be exempt. Then the very poor air cleaner, it will get a high flow air cleaner, and a TBI flow enhancer and that's all the performance improvements I'm doing.
