CRISPINS CRITTERS

I know, it was posted before but here are the two best versions ever! Always a pleasure to see Mark Knopfler having XXX with his guitar!

Thanks Bill!

It´s nice you like my work!

Btw: The shipwreck grenade from Princess Maria is in 2 weeks complete finish and than the last pic´s will be posted.

Folks,

All along the Watchtower has been covered by lots of artists. The benchmark was always Hendricks, however, this version by Neil Young is probably my favorite.

The good old 80´s

And if you wanna know what happens to them - they still make GOOD MUSIC !!

DAMN I LOVE it!
Why is there no better and more clear version...:dontknow:
Anyway I catch it in hope I find someone who can restore it for me! (Did I real said that?!:laughing7:) ---can not restore old footage YET.

I saw some like blues here.

The 12 years old Joe Bonamassa playing blues. I guess this guy was born with a guitar in his hands :icon_scratch::laughing7:

Didn't go to Sonny's BBQ yesterday for two reasons:

#1 was that it was the branch Company's President's Birthday and there was a big "To Do" with cooking of an "Italian" theme lunch for all employees!
#2 was that Shannon, Kipp, Juan and I paid some money to watch Tristan eat 2 Carolina Reaper peppers!
How much did Tristan make?
$90.
A HARD $90!
Juan brought them in and they were fresh!
THREE MILLION SCOVILLE UNITS EACH!
I suppose that we all should be ashamed of ourselves, but.....
A fun Friday at work....

That poor fool damn nearly fell out.
Just when he thought that the worse was past, I offered him a cut of my chewing tobacco.
He put it in his mouth, bit down and cried, "That makes it worse!"
Yeah, ole Scotty knows how to "help...." :laughing7:

Shannon said that he'd buy some mad dog 357 for Tristan and pay $30 for him to eat some.
Shannon will have to order it and it costs like $100....
Yeah, I guess I'll have to give Tristan some cash to eat some....
What, you ask is "Mad Dog 357" peppers?
Only about NINE MILLION SCOVILLE UNITS!
Here ya go....
CAUTION!
POTENTIALLY OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE!

Kipp made a video of Tristan eating the 2 Reapers and I'll try to get a copy to post....
Shannon also used Tristan's phone to take a video...
I'll try to get that also.

Damn!
They did this when I didn't have my camera...

Anyway,

Here's the prototype of "The Jayhawk Puzzle."

jayhawk puzzle 003.JPG

I know that I have the write-up in the UDK around here somewhere...
In my archives...from around the late 80's.
About the time I was also the Kitchen Manager at that Sorority....
"Give me just a little more time"....I'll find it....

Thinking of visiting a Flea Market tomorrow called "J & J Flea Market," outside of Athens, Georgia.
Never been there but have heard that there are some good tools to be found....

Hope all have a Safe and Joyous Easter Weekend!

Always my Best Wishes,

Scott

Don't ask me to "roll over..."
or I'll play this....

Best,

Scott

And, yes, as an amateur entomologist, I have many specimens....
As a kid, growing up, mere blocks from the University of Kansas, I used to catch "bugs" and take them to the Professor of entomology at Snow Hall.
Sometimes, he would give me fifty cents or a dollar for some of the specimens that I took to him!
That excited me to learn more about "Bugs" and eventually, in High School, I became an Assistant to the Biology Teacher who gave me a couple of books.
One was "Herpetology" and the other was about insects.
I still have the love of Nature and am always amazed at what I see when I slow down, gaze at the earth, in detail, sometimes on my hands and knees, when I go camping.
I've been stung, I've been bitten but I'm still rapt on learning!
One of the selectors at work, a Hispanic, calls me, "Hombe arana!"
I say, "Si! Una vez me case con una viuda negra!"

My collection...
Bugs 001.JPG

Here's just one...
"Centruroides spp.
Centruroides."
Collected about 25 years ago....

Enjoy!

And, forgive my manners.

And, a "new dog a runnin'" will soon have "Charter" status! Dig?

And now, I shall spend time with my latest diversion of sleep...

stamps 001.JPG

I find that the History of each Country is fascinating through the issuance of their postage stamps.
And, it helps with speaking the languages.
But, then again, I am a Mensa type nerd.....:dontknow:

I certainly can relate to Malcolm....
But, don't tell anyone....

Yeah, I spent a lot of time on the University of Kansas Campus as a kid. Before I actually attended courses.

I made silver and gold jewelry with Byron Snegas's help.
I learned gymnastic skills at Robinson's Gym.
I fired weapons in the basement of Mallott Hall with the ROTC Students.
I took bugs to a Professor at Snow Hall.
I hacked computer accounts at Summerfield Hall. Ahem....
I snuck into KU Basketball games at Allen Field House.
I snuck into concerts at Hoch Auditorium.
I played pianos late at night at Murphy Hall.
I sold coca-colas at KU football games.
I performed technical support for University productions of plays.
I studied nude drawings at Spooner Museum of Art.
I helped curate at Dyche Museum of Natural History.
I held a library card for Watson's Library.
I rode along with the University Police.

All before I was 18.

I guess that you can say that KU was a guiding force in my adolescence....
And, my parents had no clue where I was spending my time....
I sought knowledge beyond what was taught at the local schools.
I found it at the University....
For Free.
I used my charm to find my way into any situation as it was presented.
By the time that I graduated High School, I nearly had a College degree.
All of which helped me 30 years later to actually achieve a Psychology Degree.
