I remember this broadcast.
Later, I served with many from this era.
Their stories were descriptive, understood for the most part but were many times dark, filled with thoughts like this:
"If I live another day, I might still get home."
These are the stories told to me that compel me to serve my Country as long as I draw a breath....

Cool! What elevation on that "hill" ?
1280 feet. The trail involved lots of rock climbing (stepping on rocks) but I accomplished it wearing flip flops. Everyone else we met on trail had hiking boots on! lol
My knee was sore, and climbing down was definitely harder for me then going up. Wife wants to go hike Ragged mountain which is right next to this one next weekend. It's definitely good exercise!
