Back in late 2019 and early 2020 there was these frequent sightings of a formation of drones out on the eastern plains of the Colorado Nebraska border. Still no answer on who was behind it.

The pentagon has officially an unequivocally denied any involvement in this NJ event. They have not shared what they do know about it. The real problem is lack of regulations. I think there aught to be more. They could be as dangerous as road vehicles. Why not a license? Why not restrictions for privacy? Why not a registration plate or identifying number like on cars, boats and planes?

Drones from the sea - Maybe actually be happening!​

A recent visit to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show led to a conversation with representatives from SUB UVA. They have developed technology that allows a drone to fly airborne and underwater. Representative Chris Smith from New Jersey is asking for answers. it is plausible that the Coast Guard interaction with drones has a reasonable explanation.The advances in drone technology are moving quickly, and the sizes of drones are increasing as well. I don't think the Iranians or any other foreign powers are, earthly or otherwise, are flying battery powered from ships.
