In my understanding,,, something along the lines of an "Alien invasion" will happen, sooner or later,, but it will be another Fake , false flag..!! Perhaps a final push to unite us all under a world gov and all that that entails... Just my thoughts.

Question I have is why would "aliens" be interested in anything the Earth has to offer? They would clearly be far more advanced technologically than humans, and anything on our planet, possibly including our variety of life, could be readily found much easier and closer to their own planet.

Probably not. As Neil Degrasse Tyson said, they’d look down and think these things put up invisible borders then kill each other not out of necessity but instead religion and color? No thanks. And if they did decide to land history shows it usually isn’t a happy ending for the less advanced civilization.

True, but there is also a massive amount of gold floating around out there in the galaxy. They just need to find an asteroid full of gold, and then tow it home.

Asteroid 16 Psyche has so much gold in it that it's worth an estimated $700 Quintillion...and it's hanging out somewhere between Mars and Jupiter.

They aren't coming for food. Unless their digestive system is designed like those in life forms here on Earth, there's no way they could intake any of Earths food or animals as they lack the bacteria and proteins needed to turn it into energy.

Water maybe? Nope. Good old H²O is everywhere out there.

They'd be way, way smarter than we are, so I doubt they'd be interested much in human interaction.

Only thing I can come up with is they might want to collect DNA samples from the diverse life found here, in hopes of starting life elsewhere in the galaxy.
