Corn field hunt yeilds 1868 U.S. Grant token and a really old mystery coin

Merf and I got out today to the field where he found the gold ring yesterday. I got a solid hit on the F75ltd. I thought I had my fourth large cent, but it turned out to be an 1868 Ulysses S. Grant token. Any info on this would be appreciated. On the front it has his portrait and says "GENERAL U.S. GRANT 1868" on the rear I think it says "I PROPOSE TO FIGHT IT OUT ALONG THIS LINE IF IT TAKES ALL SUMMER" The back has a wreath on it like a large cent.

Next I found a mystery coin. appears very old, thinner than a 2-cent piece but about that size around. I'm sure somone can Id it by the front. I cannot read a date or anything else, but it is soaking now. Looks to me to be a foreign coin?

Merf had some quality finds too, i'm sure he will post them.

Cool token. Perhaps your mystery coin is a British half penny? Might be Queen Victoria on the front. I have a 1900 that is also rather thin. I really can't tell what it is.

Cool finds but those coins are chewed up! Very nice! Niffler
