Copper men's ring?

Has anyone heard of a copper ring? Wedding band maybe? Dug at a campsite of either Civil War or Railroad campsite.Nickle is for measurement purposes. Also found the 1903 IH penny. ring two.jpgring.jpg

Could be man...have you cleaned it yet?
Look on the inside and see if there is any writing or maybe a line running through the middle (coin ring). May help with the ID.

I have found a few copper rings up here in the Finger Lakes in plowed fields that had houses in them from that time period. I have read that solders would leave there gold at home but where the copper instead

I have actually found a copper wedding band that was gold plated but all the plating was worn off except the seam where the two ends were soldered and one other spot. There was a P on the inside also

I haven't had a chance to clean it yet. It was also found in a crop field. Thanks for the info everyone.

I have found those same copper rings sometimes with a little of the gold glint still on them, around old home sites and fields here in the finger lakes area too....
No not compression fittings.
