also...update on the engagement ring that I found Saturday since several have asked via PMs.



I took it to a jeweler yesterday.

The good news, it's 18kt white gold, hallmarked 750

The bad news, the main diamond is a lab created stone, not a natural diamond. The others down the sides are natural stones.

Bummer huh. Figures
Oh well, still a cool find, one I will remember always.
I just wonder if some poor lady thought this stone was genuine from her mate

I know 99% of you enjoyed the contest and a lot of you here probably enjoy my posts showing my finds, but after getting a lot of hassle after the contest about the finds I posted and receiving a reply from a TNet member insinuating that I "never left the house" for my contest hunt... in other words, all the finds I posted in my contest finds thread were a fraud, has ruined it for me here for now.

I deleted my two most recent posts in today's finds (the contest hunt finds) and will not be posting here or sharing my finds at TNet for a while. I have a seriously bad attitude going right now about it all.

Ok am going to say this....I am fairly new here..but sheez... it was boobydoo's contest..he ran it...he choose the prizes...if you dont like it.. or the way he ran it... grow up and get over it... I think its pretty piss poor ( pardon my french) for a grown adult to behave this way, and to doubt or accuse another of faking things..either way.... either put up your own dam contest or shut up... what the hells wrong with some people... tad bit jeleous maybe? ok am shutting up as I like reading this forum, its not about whose the better detectorist or who gets the most gold silver or whatever...its about a fun hobby where we we all can share our finds.. if you cant be civil and nice..then back off and dont let the door hit your butt... I normally don't post negative things but I read some of the replies to Boobydoo's contest post and I cannot in good conscience sit here and say nothing.

To those of you who entered the contest and didn't like how it turned out...TOUGH S$$T!

Boobydoo has always been a gentleman in all of his posts. His posts are always enjoyable to read and I make sure I read all of his posts in Todays Finds. For some reason I've missed the posts telling of his contests but that doesn't bother me.

Because a person is better at detecting than you are does not indicate that he is a cheater...it just might indicate that you are an inferior detectorist. Learn to live with it or get better!

I can only aspire to become as good a detectorist as Boobydoo is, but you know what? If I never become that good...so what? I'm having fun and that is the reason I'm into this. I'd love to find half of what Boobydoo finds but I'll be satisfied no matter what I find.

This is not the first time I've observed ill treatment of a forum member and Boobydoo is not the first member to become disenchanted with TNet and if this kind of animosity continues he surely won't be the last.

To the 1% of you who want to ruin things for the 99%...Buzz off! Get off the forum and get a life.

I just wanted to tell everyone that I received my prize today and pictures just didn't do it justice. Boobydoo is a very generous person for conducting this contest. It's beyond me why anyone just has to stir up crap for no reason at all. The contest was done fairly and there was REAL prizes. I got lucky enough to take third prize and I am very grateful to Boobydoo for his giving attitude. Thanks again Boobydoo for the prize.

As a winner of a totally fun contest I received my prize as well today. I think Bobby is very generous and creative to come up with an idea that everyone can be involved in.
I also believe who ever made that ignorant comment is an *$$ !

Though I have not been here long either, I have enjoyed the post and I am truly amazed at the time and effort many put into their hobby. I am addicted as well now.

Bobby, please keep posting and dont let one jerk stop you from doing what you enjoy!
